Our U17s boys squad opened their season with a trip to Swinford for their first league game. Ballinrobe had the majority of possession but went behind in the first half to a looping cross/shot.

Thankfully a thunderbolt of a shot from distance by Dylan Mallon rattled the Swinford net to level up the game before half time.

The 2nd half was much the same with Ballinrobe having majority of possession but found it difficult to take their chances before Finn McConville scored from a corner, only for Swinford to score and make final score 2-2.

Strong debut performances from Padraic Mylotte, MK Ncube and Wayne Mirithi.

Next up for the lads is a home game next Monday with Conn Rangers the visitors to the Green. All support would be appreciated for the lads first home game of the season.
