Our junior B team were our only team in action this Sunday and Greg Keleghan's men put in a huge performance in defeating Achill at the Green on Sunday afternoon. 

Sean Vahey opened the scoring on 16 minutes after collecting a knock on from Peter Finnerty before dinking the ball over an Achill defenders head and volleying a belter passed the keeper to see us 1 up at the break.

The second half saw Achill start strong with Quentin Keady pulling off two breathtaking saves to see us retain our lead. Midway through the half Peter Finnerty was the provider again when he played a lovely through all to his midfield partner Conor Jennings who slotted the ball beautifully passed the Achill keeper to double our lead. With 13 minutes remaining Achill pulled one back when they scored from a free kick on the edge of our box. The lads battled to the end in what was a fantastic team performance and took the three points and see the lads sit joint top of the table with Bangor Hibs with 2 rounds completed. A long way to go this season but a great start from the lads.
